What Information We Gather and Track
At MultiTask123, the company that brings you BucketBacker, we respect your desire to protect your personal confidential information. This page tells you what sort of information we may ask you for, and in what situations.
BucketBacker collects some information that is personal (i.e., information that identifies an individual either alone or in combination with other data). BucketBacker also collects non-personal information that does not, on its own, identify an individual person. BucketBacker obtains personal information when you or someone acting on your behalf provides it to us.
We may obtain personal information when you, or someone acting on your behalf, places an order, registers a product, requests a service, utilizes the email notification service, and when you correspond with us or engage in other activities on our website or via our third-party product ordering system.
BucketBacker retains the services of outside vendors to provide services for us. They may be used to distribute products, provide technical support, or handle order processing. Our vendors are required to keep the personal information of customers secure and strictly confidential, and use personal information only on behalf of BucketBacker and for no other purpose.
If you subscribe to BucketBacker Email Notification Service, in order to provide the Service, we will store information needed to complete the transaction, such as your Software ID (GUID), Software License, Machine ID (MAC), the emails associated by You to the Service.
What We Do Not Store
BucketBacker by MultiTask123 is a service that backs up your Amazon AWS S3 buckets. In order to do so, you will be required to enter your Amazon AWS credentials for any AWS Alias you use to access the system – including your Access Key ID and Secret Access Key. These credentials are not stored by BucketBacker. These credentials are maintained on your machine. We do not have any access your BucketBacker Alias password, your AWS Access Key ID or your AWS Secret Access Key.
How We Use This Information
• We use personal information in the following ways:
• To provide the email reports inherent with the BucketBacker Email Notification Service;
• To provide customer service and technical support;
• To track your Licensed Software to make sure it is not being used on other machines without your consent;
• To provide you with information about product upgrades, new products, services, newsletters, informative emails, and research on future product ideas or improvements;
• To provide you with special BucketBacker offers that may be of interest to you;
• To allow you to purchase and download products, obtain access to services, or otherwise engage in activities you select; and
• To help you quickly find software, services or product information important to you.
Sharing of Personal Information
BucketBacker does not share personal information with third parties other than as described in this policy. However, we may share your information, including personal information, in order to (i) protect or defend the legal rights or property of BucketBacker, or the legal rights of our business partners, employees, agents, and contractors (including enforcement of our agreements); (ii) protect against fraud or risk management purposes; or (iii) comply with the law or legal process. Additionally, we may share your data, including any personal information, with our successor in interest in the event of a corporate reorganization, merger, bankruptcy or sale of all or substantially all of our assets
If you do not wish to continue receiving information for BucketBacker you can opt-out of receiving these communications by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email you received.
We have taken security measures to protect your personal information. These measures include technical and procedural steps to protect your data from misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, loss, alteration, or destruction. BucketBacker stores emails in encrypted format on its servers and also encrypts the email addresses saved on your local machine in the APPDATA folder.
Additionally, all client/server communication between BucketBacker, your machine and Amazon AWS is secured via HTTPS.
No credit card information is stored on BucketBacker’s servers.
We may track domain names, IP addresses, and browser types from people who visit our site. We use this information to produce traffic statistics for the BucketBacker web sites. Such information is not correlated with any personal information.
BucketBacker retains the services of outside vendors to provide services for us. BucketBacker is not responsible for the privacy practices of our business partners. We encourage you to read their privacy statements, as they may differ from ours.
